He was predeceased by: his mother Johanna Patrina Evanson (Evanger); his son Scott Evanson; his father Hans Evanson; and his siblings, Edward, Jerome, Vendel, Orville, Gaylord Evanson, Elena Njos, Helen Eiken and Hazel Holo.
He is survived by: his close friends, Norby, Ernie Haven, Sylvia Haven and Nora Schroeder; his wife JoAnn; his children, Michael Evanson (Laurie), Lisa Brodersen (Kim) of Williston and Tricia Laducer (Chris) of Williston; his brothers, Hans Evanson (Joyce) and James Evanson (Bonnie) of Livingston, MT; and his brother-in-law James Moorhead (Carol) of Michigan, ND. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 (soon to be 26) great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
