He was predeceased by: his father Rodrigo Erandio. He is survived by: his mother Diosdada Odon-Erandio; his sisters, Evangeline, Jennifer and Aileen; his nephews, John Mark, Johnrey, Marvin, Timothy and Clarck; his niece Christina; and his brother-in-law Bob.
He finished his doctorate in University of Southern Philippines Foundation in Cebu City, Philippines. He was also a scholar of Fullbright Philippines, a Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) and was sent to Alabama, USA by that time.
