He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Tofte and Helen Tofte (Sandaker); his wife Charlotte (Miller); his sister Shirley; his brothers-in-law, Art Anderson and Buzz Howe; and his son-in-law Gordon Strand.
He is survived by: his son Les Tofte (Connie); his grandchildren, Brandon Tofte (Steph), JoAnn Messina and Danielle Tofte (Adam Price); his daughter Charlene Strand; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Strand (Nicci), Brenda Schafer (Ben) and Kayla Christopherson (Brian); his son Cal Tofte (LeAnn); his grandchildren, Jenny Dunbar and Kalliann Arnson (Jason); and his siblings, Ilene Howe and Gerry Tofte (Joanne). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of plants and flowers, Harold's family prefers that memorials be given to the Stoney Creek 4-H Club or Farm Rescue.
