We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2019, at the age of 77, Elva Nelson (Williston, North Dakota), born in Denver, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Bud" and Rose Schweitzer (Pilloud). She is survived by: her spouse Dean; her children, Janelle Lundquist (Wayne), Lanette Hansen (Rick), Deanne Ober (Matt), Melanie Portra (Mick) and Dennis (Tami); and her brothers, David (Judi) and Rick Schweitzer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

“My condolences go out to you all. I am so sad to learn of Jean’s passing and I know your grief is immense. She was such a gem and I have fond memories of her introducing me to many homemaking tasks that have stayed with me. I recall how very helpful she (and you too Dean) was when Daddy died.
