He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Ellingson and Dora Ellingson (Olson); his brother Doug Ellingson; his aunts, Mary Stevens and Dorothy Bartlett; and his cousins, Bill and Leland Bartlett.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Rink; his children, Jim Ellingson (Kelly) of Williston, Jeff Ellingson (Terra) of Williston, Rick Ellingson (Angie) of Williston and Kelli Mabe (Aaron) of Watford City; and his sisters, Tooney Layton (Val) of Lander, WY and Bev Lynch (Charlie) of Williston. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
