It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jeanette Peterson of Williston, North Dakota, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Hans Anders Oyen (Grace Oakes Oyen); her siblings, Beatrice, Marian, Ethel, Andrew, Herbert, Franklin, Gale and Kenneth; her husband Robert D. Peterson; her mother Grace (Clarence Jacobson); her parents-in-law, Henry and Mable Peterson; her siblings-in-law, Helen Pederson (Paul) and Gene Peterson (Elaine); and her nieces and nephews, Allan, Richard, Paul Jr., Daniel Pederson, Craig Oyen, Shirley Pederson Ravio and Valerie Oyen Larsen.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Peterson (Gaylene) of Tioga, ND, Greta Lehnerz of Casper, WY, Robyn Soiseth (Kirk) of Williston, ND, Ronda Peterson of Williston, ND and Lisa Urbatsch (Les) of Fargo, ND; her nieces, Kari Hite (Butch) of Tucson, AZ and Andrea Batt (Tim) of Harvest, AL.; her nephew Blaine Oyen (Cheryl) of Beulah, ND; her grandchildren, Niki Lehnerz Jackson, Courtney Reddish, Rebecka Peterson McDowell (Don), Robert Urbatsch, Gregory Peterson II (Sonja), Luke Soiseth (Gwen), Adam Urbatsch, Alyssa Reddish (Jason), Heather Soiseth Kihle (Tyler), Kirby Urbatsch, Vanessa Clemmensen and Frank Lehnerz III; her brother Gerry Oyen (Karen); and her sister-in-law Laura Lou Oyen. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
