He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Marion Browning and Estella Josie Webb; his children, Lucius, Marcellus, Virgil Lee and Maria; and his brother-in-law Thomas L. Cooke.
He is survived by: his wife Laurlynn; his children, Désirée L. Disney, Derek L. Browning II (Charity) and Sabrina L. Marburger (Jake); his grandchildren, Samantha Browning, Cassandra Browning, Corrina Hanson, Gwendolen Hanson, Deacon Marburger, Ava Marburger and Adara Marburger; his siblings, Joseph P. Browning (Tammy) and Teresa L. Stinson (Ted); and his siblings-in-law, Robert L. Wilson (Sharon) and Dorothy Cooke. He is also survived by three great-grandsons.
