He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Neer and Bertha Neer; his siblings, Helen, Gordon and Duane; his daughter-in-law Judith A. Neer (Ramlow); and his nephew Paul Taylor.
He is survived by: his sons, Allen Neer (Diana) of Caldwell and Greg Neer (Helen) of Pella, Iowa; his sister Doretta Taylor (Emmett) of Williston; and his nephew Greg Taylor (Tina) of Bismarck. He is also survived by five grandchildren and their spouses, three step-grandchildren and spouses, thirteen great-grand children and six step great-grandchildren.
