He was predeceased by: his parents, William Briggs and Lillian Briggs (Palmquist); his parents-in-law, Albert and Virginia Finch; and his siblings, Richard Bofferding, Don Videen and Helen Nicol.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Wesley (Jessica) of Vernal, UT and Lori Elizabeth (Trevor Forst) of Kindred, ND; his wife Linda Briggs of West Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Anthony, TJ, Kathryn and Ryan; his sister Ruthie Haug of Florida; his sister-in-law Leda Bofferding of California; and his brothers, Joe Videen, Robert Videen (Judy), Gary Videen and Steve Videen (Gloria). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
