He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar W. Doepke and Myrtle Martha Doepke (Carvell); his spouse Doris Anne Zeamer; his son Rodney Dean; his great grandchild Caelan Dean Virtue; his siblings, Donald, Darol, Robert, Norman Doepke, Marlys Peterson, Myrtle Reimers and Beverly Hermle; his sons, Duane of Clintonville and Dale (Peggy) of Jamestown; his daughter-in-law Cheryl (Rodney Dean) of Casper; his son Steve Weixel (Jennifer) of Minneapolis, MN.; his siblings, Kenny Doepke (Serena) of Bismarck, ND. and Shirley Eman (Donald) of Bismarck, ND.; his grandchildren, Michelle Virtue (Jeremy) of Douglas, Danelle Schaffner (Jon) and Christina (Casey); his stepgranddaughters, Jessica Fargo and JoHanna Stiem of Jamestown, ND; and his grandchildren, Zack, Alex Virtue (Michelle), Jake, Waverly Schaffner (Danelle), Israel Hufstetler (Chloe), Alina and Joshua Doepke (Peter). He was also cherished by many extended family members, cousins and friends.
