He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gast and Irene "Susie" Gast (Krause); his brother Charles Gast; and his sister-in-law Kay Gast. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jeglum of West Fargo; his sons, Scott Gast of Roseville, MN and Mike Gast (Kelli) of Moorhead; his grandchildren, Parker, Tyler and Brooklyn; his brother David Gast; and his sister-in-law Sharon Gast.
