She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Simek (BC) and Rose Simek (Barta); her sister Kit Young; and her daughter-in-law Michelle Gjerdevig (Kihn). She is survived by: her husband John Gjerdevig of West Fargo, ND; her sons, Steve (Angela Quam) and Eric (Sara); her grandchildren, Jordyn Lillehaug (Isaac), Alec (Jade Thom) of Breckenridge, MN, Logan and Jacob; her great grandchild Emersyn; her brother Dean Simek (Shirlin); and her brother-in-law Clyde Ed Young.
