He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Monson and Mary Hampstad Monson; his brothers, Lester, Marvin, Philip and Archie; and his great grandchild Braden Dahl.
He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Teresa R. Heidorn (Jim) of Page, ND, Randy Monson (Lynn) of Lake Park, MN, Vicki Hedland (Kyle) and Patricia Monson; and his sister Marie A. Thomson of Moorhead, MN.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
