He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Niskanen and Hilda Niskanen (Saari); and his siblings, Ray, Willard, Norman, Lila and Ellen.
He is survived by: his wife Gennieve Fandrick; his children, Neil of West Fargo, ND and Nancy Sheridan of Aurora, CO; his granddaughter Carly Sheridan of San Diego, CA; and his brother Clarence (Monica) of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
