It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVaughn Rutherford (West Fargo, North Dakota), born in Page, North Dakota, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Johnk and Amanda Johnk (Schmidt); her former husband Raymond Meek; her husband Lloyd Rutherford; her sister Beverly; her brother-in-law William Montgomery; and her nephew Todd Montgomery.
She is survived by: her son Scott Meek (Becky) of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nordick (Kory) of Fergus Falls, MN and Charles Meek (Haley) of Dilworth, MN; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Avery, Leo, Peter, Ingrid, Beatrice Nordick and Eli Meek. She is also survived by cousin and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Page, ND, or to Sanford Hospice House.
