He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Opp and Marie Opp (Ketterling); and his siblings, Allen Opp (Fern), David Opp (Brenda) and Norma Petersen (George).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Knudson; his children, Jennifer Pierce and Jeffrey Opp (Megan Eckman); his granddaughter Jocelyn Pierce; and his siblings, Mary Ann Unruh, Duane Opp (Rita) and James Opp (Carolyn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center (321 Sheyenne St, West Fargo, ND 58078). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (6034 Co Rd 23, Leonard, ND 58052).
