She was predeceased by: her parents, John Weishaar and Elizabeth Weishaar (Ackerman); her husband Melvin; her daughter Barbara Tompkins (Wade); her great grandchild Iaen Cole; her siblings, Adolph Weishaar (Estella), Art Weishaar (Elsie), Willie Weishaar (Rena), Albert Weishaar (Ruby), John Weishaar (Blanche), Bert Weishaar, Irene Krebsbach (Clarence) and Alma Schumaier (John); and her brother-in-law Joe Vitko.

She is survived by: her children, Mark D. Mehlhoff, Don W. Mehlhoff (Tracy) and Beth A. Orton (Kerry); her grandchildren, Sarah Woodall (Andrew), Alexis Cole (Daniel), Emily Mehlhoff, Adam Orton (Ashley) and Nicole Orton; her great grandchildren, Eloise Cole and Sawyer Woodall; her siblings, Ervin Weishaar (Ella) of Wahpeton, ND and Esther Vitko of Minot; and her brother-in-law Rollin Mehlhoff of Bismarck. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
