Berntson of West Fargo, North Dakota, born in Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Berntson; his parents, Alfred Berntson and Helen Berntson (Sorenson); his parents-in-law, Glenn and Delores Hoyt; his siblings, Denton Berntson, David Berntson and Ellrene Sortland; and his siblings-in-law, Elmer Christl, Dave Nelson, Dale Hoyt, Patti Hoyt and Paulette Berntson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Cregan (John) and Charissa Lenz (Dave); his grandchildren, Brooke, Lauren Cregan, Ellis, Jude and Savannah Lenz; his siblings, Delbert Berntson (Joan), Durwin Berntson (Mary), Dallas Berntson, Darryl Berntson (Jeanne), Vivian Nelson, Lois Badger (Bud), Anita Erickson (Tom), Barb Mewes (Raymond), Olive Rasmusson (Howard) and Gail Christl; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Berntson, Ruby Klundt (Jeff), Janice VanWinkle, Sally Morehouse, Penny Gengler (Randy), Duane Sortland, Cliff Hoyt (Claudia), Jay Hoyt, Waldo Hoyt (Shellee) and Terry Hoyt (Patty). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
