He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elaine Savela and Harry Savela; his adoptive parent Teckla Dost; his wife Mary Ann; his children, Virginia Mercier (Mike) and Brian (Nancy Karst); his stepdaughters, Tanya Livingston and Teresa Greenwood (Kevin Miller); and his brother Alvin Savela. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
