He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyal Busby and Doloris Busby (Hogenson); his siblings, Danny Busby and Paula Wilson; his brothers-in-law, Jerain "Jiggs" Anderson, Michael Rydjord, Raj Karim and Linn Sakrismo; and his niece Carrie Krumwiede (Wilson).
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Busby (Stumbo) of Ulen, MN.; his children, Tiffany Peterson (Al) of Lincoln, ND, Tanner Busby (Anna) of Woodinville, WA, Shane Busby of Moorhead, MN and Megan Hartsoch (Mike) of West Fargo, ND.; his grandchildren, Owen, Cooper Peterson, Callum, Cadyn Busby, Shawn, Brynlee and Charley Hartsoch; his pet Steve; his sisters, Sharon Willgohs (Gene) of Henning, MN, Pat Anderson of West Fargo, ND, Linda Rydjord of Vacaville, CA, Mary Karim of Duluth, MN, Gail Spillum (Tom) of Rollag, MN, Jeri Sakrismo and Maureen VanDenEinde (David) of Bejou, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Lori Busby of Hitterdal, MN and Breck Wilson of Dilworth, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, David's children ask that memorials be made to Fargo Memorial Honor Guard, Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN, and the Brady Oberg Legacy Foundation.
