He is survived by: his wife Joy Rygg of Fargo, ND; his children, Lori Thrall (Mark) of Fargo, ND and Tom Kahl (Dawn) of Fargo, ND; his stepmother Marjorie Kahl of Bismarck, ND; his siblings, Wes Kahl of Carrington, ND, Keith Kahl of Knoxville, TN, Douglas Kahl (Louise) of Munroe Falls, OH, Steven Kahl of Bismarck, ND and Marla Reynolds (Jim) of Fredricksburg, TX; his grandchildren, Ryan Van Dyke (Pakou), Andrea LaMont (Tyler) and Logan Kahl (Maddison); and his great grandchildren, Gavin LaMont, Kinley Lamont, Mason Vang and Ariya Van Dyke.
