He was predeceased by: his mother Velma Louise Norris Newson; and his father-in-law Jim Nolan. He is survived by: his father Charles Wilkie Newson; his wife Laura Willoughby Newson of Gruetli-Laager; his son Logan C. Newson of Nashville; his brother Tommy Newson (Shirley) of Whitwell; and his mother-in-law Barbara Nolan. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
