He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank W Jones and Lillie Jones (Sundeen); his children, Sandra and Terry; and his wife Iva Norby.

He is survived by: his daughter Valorie Uhlir (Mike, family: Larry, Wendy Tyrer); his daughter-in-law Anne Jones; his siblings, Ralph Jones and Lavonne Hartel; and his sister-in-law Lillian Dahl.

He donated and helped move a sandstone house that belonged to his Uncle Ike Jones to their park in Watford City.
