He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Dearinger and Carolina Dearinger (Thomasson); his siblings, Alvin, Elmer, Ruby and Ida; and his children, Michael, Shiela and Jason.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Pitcher; his children, Daniel Dearinger (Terise) of Cummings, Jennifer Danielson (Tim) of New Salem, Krisite Baumer (Trevor) of Grand Forks, James Dearinger of Grand Forks, Randy Dearinger (Ashley) of Grand Forks, Alex Dearinger, Summer Goetzfridt (Perrin) of New Salem and Kim Dearinger of Grafton; his grandchildren, Christopher, Tovah, Isaac, Sistene, Ean, Shea, Johnathan, Tyrion and Abel; his siblings, Gary Dearinger (Patty), Eileen Ducioame, Dorothy Denault, Leona Fuller (Ron) and Margie LeTexier (Billie); and his siblings-in-law, Wally Melsted, Susie and Doris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Walhalla Ambulance Service or Faith in Action.
