He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Steiner and Mildred Hendrickson (Patton); and his brothers, Donald and James Steiner. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Jaeger; his children, Michael Steiner (Susan), Lynn Knox (Dean) and Lisa Engel (Scott); his grandchildren, Chris Steiner, Paige Steiner, Nathan Knox (Rachel) and Andrew Knox; and his great grandchild Elise Knox.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to charities that were special to Robert: St. Edwards Catholic Church Mason General Hospital Foundation or The Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
