He was predeceased by: his parents, Elza Brownlee and Inez Brownlee; his wife Adeline Wahl; and his siblings, Floyd Brownlee and Margaret Parks.
He is survived by: his children, Jerome Brownlee (Libby), James Brownlee (Cindy), Donna Berg (Paul) and Susan Eckes (Dennis). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
