He was predeceased by: his father Roland D. Hovde; his sister Julie Rae; his mother-in-law Paulette Luksik; and his grandparents, Oscar, Ragna Hovde, Palmer and Betsy Hayden.
He is survived by: his mother JoAnn C. Hovde (Hayden); his wife Pam; his children, Ashley (Lewis) of Glyndon, MN, Alex of Wahpeton, ND and Andrew of Wahpeton, ND; his siblings, Joni Ham (Mitchell) of Aneta, ND, Jeanne Kelley (Pete), Walker, Rodney (Jennifer), Ryan and Robin; his father-in-law Norman (Dianne); and his brothers-in-law, Joe (Cyndee), Mike (Deb) and Jason. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wahpeton-Breckenridge Kiwanis Club or the Dwight Rural Fire Department.
