He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Smith and Taletta Smith (Buss); his wife Ethel Andel; and his siblings, Louis, Lester, Lyle, Audrey, Lucille and Viola.
He is survived by: his sons, Duane Smith (Jean) and Russ Smith (Rachelle); his grandsons, Tyler Smith (Brandy) and Clay Smith (JaKayla); his great grandchildren, AJ, Brenner, Flynn and McCoy Smith; his sister Sharon Tetzloff; and his sister-in-law Joanie Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Church of Christ in Wahpeton.
