We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2021, at the age of 81, Larue Flaa (Wahpeton, North Dakota), born in Fargo, North Dakota passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Bakke and Vivian Bakke (Poehls); her husband Steiner Flaa; her parents-in-law, Emil and Frances Flaa (Alexander); her brother Elroy Bakke; her brothers-in-law, Ray Carlson and Larry Brueske; her nieces, Stacy Bakke and Renee Schwandt (Carlson); her nephew Jeff Ditch; and her great-nephew Anders Flaa.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Wulfekuhle (Joseph) of Wolverton, MN, Jody Bergman Argusville (Tim) and Mike Flaa (Aimee) of Galchutt, ND; her grandchildren, Lacy (Tim Christopher), Tyler Wulfekuhle (Kara), Kelly (Kalyn Omlid), Ally, Paige, Jenna Bergman, Devin, Kennedy and Ryley Flaa; her great grandchildren, Avery Jo Wulfekuhle and Knox Christopher; her siblings, Loretta Carlson, Kay Mahar (David), Hickson, Gary Bakke and Gayle Brueske; and her siblings-in-law, Ina Bakke and Stuart Flaa (Pat). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Last year after testing positive for COVID-19, we were called in to say our goodbyes two days before Mother's Day. The staff was worried that she would succumb to the virus, yet LaRue proved us all wrong when she kicked COVID to the curb.
