Larry Hjelmstad Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2025, at the age of 81, Larry Hjelmstad of Wahpeton, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hjelmstad and Margaret Hjelmstad (Strutz); his brothers, Frayne Morton and Loren Clark; and his grandson Riley Peter.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Marie Gronhovd; his children, Pete (Nikki) of Mason City, Iowa, Ken of Mesa, Arizona, Clark (Heather) of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Adonica Good (Todd) of Wahpeton; his grandchildren, Drew, Casey, Jonathan, Medora and Oscar; and his great grandchild Greyson Torrance.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel (950 Dakota Ave, Hatton, ND 58240). A prayer was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (420 7th St, Hatton, ND 58240).
Memorials may be directed to the Hatton American Legion.
