He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan "Jack" Finnestad and Clevia Finnestad (Hursey); his siblings, Darlene Balon and James Finnestad; his niece Lynne Balon; his brothers-in-law, Robert Kidd and Leonard Balon; and his stepfather Tommy Rader.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Dale Kidd, John Balon, Karen Kidd and Beth Shaw. He is also survived by many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
