He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Duursma and Nellie Duursma (Wobbema); his wife Edie Duursma; his daughters, Mary Hammer, Sandy Cobaly, Christine Presler and BobbieJo Garcia; his brother Bud Duursma; and his great grandchild Airyck Garcia.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Erickson, Allan Duursma, Bill Duursma and Mike Duursma; his son-in-law Stephen Garcia; and his brother Tom Duursma. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
