Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nora Belle Sannes (Valley City, North Dakota), who passed away at the age of 97, on February 18, 2025. As we bid adieu to Nora Belle's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Nora Belle has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay P. Whitman and Lena Whitman (Russ); and her sisters, Una Kolberg, Faye DeKrey and Alpha DeKrey.
She is survived by: her children, Gerry Sannes, Colleen Rice (TJ) of Las Vegas, NV and Corinne Durensky of Barnesville, MN; her grandchildren, Chrissy Koland (Jeremy) and Ian Anderson (Jacklyn); and her stepgrandson Darrin Anderson. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be given to First United Methodist Church in Fargo.
