He was predeceased by: his parents, Birger Falstad and Myrtle Falstad (Olstad); his wife Joan Marchand of Joseph's Catholic Church; his sister Bernice Ketterling; his brothers-in-law, Stan Erickson, Albert Ketterling and Frank Schlottman; his daughter-in-law Kristy; and his grandson Jordan.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Falstad of LaMoure, ND, Paul Falstad (Tammy) of Kathryn, ND and Joy Larson (Ritchie) of Casselton, ND; his sisters, Elaine Erickson, Mavis Schlottman and Marci Myer (Dale); and also Wayne. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church (540 3rd Ave NE, Valley City, ND 58072). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
