It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harriet Dimmer of Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Weber and Clara Weber (Gruman); her husband Gregory Dimmer; her brothers, Joseph and Clem; her sister-in-law Barbara Weber; and her granddaughter Charlene Dimmer.

She is survived by: her children, Renee Anderson of Moorhead, MN, John Dimmer (Connie) of Oriska, ND, Neal Dimmer (Colleen) of Tower City, ND and Darrell Dimmer (Vicki) of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Amy Fiske (Dave) of Otsego, MN, Cindy Schiers (Jared) of Draper, UT, Michael Anderson (Lacey), Sarah Mikkelsen (Bryce) of Langdon, ND, John Anderson (Jessica), Jessica Theurer (Dustin), Amanda Pilgrim (Adam), Tedi Dimmer of Wheaton, MN and Gregory Dimmer of West Fargo, ND; and her sister-in-law Patricia Dimmer. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (419 1st Ave S E, Fingal, ND 58031). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

“Renee, I am so sorry about the loss of your dear mother. She was always cheerful when I spoke to her at St. Catherine's. Losing a mother is very hard. You were both a comfort to each other when you lived together in Valley City not too long ago. Know that Fr. Paul had the congregation pray for her at daily Mass when she was very sick and also after her passing. God bless you and yours. Love, Sharon Linnehan”
