It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George A. Gaukler of Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Bernard Gaukler and Agatha Catherine Gaukler (Duerr); and his wife Audrey Lee Gaukler (Dohman). He is survived by: his children, Michael Smith (Kristin), Tracy Smith (Jeff Eyres) and Geoffrey Gaukler (Monte); his grandchildren, Connor, Mara, Karin, Nina, Patrick, Keegan, Dawson, Madison, Megan and Reagan; his great grandchildren, Nora, Lennon, Quinn and Sawyer; and his siblings, Paul Gaukler, Cathy Wollitz, Lois Jaeger and Claire Belford.
