He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Berg and Marion Berg; his son Sheldon Berg; his siblings, Wayne Berg and Julie; his brother-in-law Eugene Love; his brother Mike; and his siblings-in-law, Denise Berg, Dale Blotske and Evie Opsal.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen of Underwood, ND; his daughters, Stephanie Neff (Cody) of Crawford, CO and Jennifer Spendrup (Jens) of Grand Junction, CO; his grandchildren, Jayden, Jewell Berg, Carter, Sidney, Emerson Neff and Ashlyn Spendrup; his sisters, Kathy Anderson (Leo) and Marcia Blotske; and his brothers-in-law, Allet Opsal, Ervin Opsal (Sue) and Claire Opsal (Cyndy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
