He was predeceased by: his brother Dallas; his father-in-law Alvin Schilling; and his brother-in-law Kelly Schilling. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Guenthner; his children, Travis (Florida) and Jennifer (Washburn); his grandchildren, Anthony (Andrea), Dylan, Jaelyn (Seth) and Shania; his sisters, Linda (Duane Weiand) and Bonnie (Larry Kuntz); his aunt Janice Guenthner (Bismarck); his mother-in-law Magdelene Schilling (Bismarck); and his sister-in-law Colette Schilling (Darwin Reinhardt). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Leon had to retire before he was ready due to his Parkinson's.
