It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy C. Rath (Turtle Lake, North Dakota), who passed away on May 29, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schumaier and Lydia Schumaier (Traub); and her siblings, Curtis, Harold, Maynard, Marvin, Herbert, Mary Rose and Delores.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Rath of Turtle Lake; her daughters, Norma Kendersi (Mike) of Mesa, AZ and Jane Gutknecht of Washburn; her grandchildren, Bowen Gutknecht and Brea Tatum (Charles) of Bismarck; her great grandchildren, Roosevelt Gutknecht, Kimberly Jane Tatum, Joshua and Jacob Tatum; her brother Emil Schumaier (Tomiko) of Hoffman, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Bandy of Montgomery, AL, Rae Schumaier of Coleharbor and Irene Schumaier of Minot. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
