It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Tweeten of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, born in Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Tweeten and Leone Tweeten (Nordquist); his brother James Lester Tweeten; and his sister-in-law Sharyll Tweeten (Zingg). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Tweeten (Anderson) of Turtle Lake; his daughters, Jill Staudinger (Scott) of Bismarck, Kristi Martin (Robert) of Bismarck, Joni Tweeten of Grand Forks and Kelli Beckman (Pat) of Mandan; his grandchildren, Taren Staudinger (Avery), Talon Staudinger, Sydni Martin, Tiana Staudinger, Brett Martin, Tasia Staudinger, Brayson Beckman and Britley Beckman; his great grandchildren, Tauriel and Lyenna Staudinger; and his siblings, Carol Nelson of Bismarck, Judy Bonnett (Marv) of Calhoun, Louisiana, Clinton Tweeten of Washburn, Jerry Tweeten (Arlis) of Turtle Lake and David Tweeten of Turtle Lake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (515 Kundert St, Turtle Lake, ND 58575). A prayer was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
