He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Berg and Pearl Berg (Smith); his siblings, Lawrence, Palmer, Dean, Orville Berg, Irene Bauchamp and Annabelle Ramsfield; and his significant other Charlene Ongstad.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lueck; his stepchildren, Brenda Jorgensen (Tom) of Mandan, Kathy Ongstad of Illinois and Jeff Ongstad of Minnesota; his stepgrandchildren, Dawson, Bryson, Shilyn Jorgensen, Zachary Sandberg, Amber Sander (Ben), Bailey and Brighton Sander; and his siblings, Wayne Berg of Sun City, Karen Skjonsby (Gerry) of Prescott Valley, Esther Sorlien (Wendell) of Grand Forks, Phyllis Schneider (Larry) of Bismarck and Ralph Berg (Linda) of Billings, Montana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
