He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Deibert and Theresa Deibert (Klein); his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Frank, John, Joe Deibert, Elizabeth Dosch, Otilia "Tillie" Haberlock, Katherine Miller, Helen Burckhard and Mary Bohl.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Deibert of Bismarck, Gerard Deibert (Holly), Renee Cudney (Jim), Lorraine Deibert and Bernadette Lund (Justin); his grandchildren, Antoinette Cudney, Ariana Cudney, Zachary Cudney, Alyssa Cudney, Lorissa Deibert, Bryson Deibert, Ryder Deibert, Prayrie Lund and Dayne Lund; and his brother Andrew of Minot. He is also survived by children and (9) grandchildren.
