She was predeceased by: her parents, Olaf Nelson and Sena Nelson (Julson); her husband Harvey Lavern Herman; her daughter Jacalyn; her son-in-law Gary Gangnes; her son Lance; her daughter-in-law Jamie Herman; her grandsons, Harvey Eugene Kubat and Nathaniel David Hall; her in-laws, Cecil and Ida Herman; and her siblings, Julian Nelson, Alice Odland (Lawrence), Eveline Green (Ross), Lawrence Nelson (Jean), Lillian Espeseth (Myron), Melvin Nelson (Vera), Elnora Chugg (Ben), Rolland Nelson, Doris Laderman (Arnie), Doreen Lamprecht (Norman), Carl Nelson and John Zaback.

She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Kubat (Terry) of Langdon, ND; her grandchildren, Troy Kubat (Gemma), Nicholas, Landon of Maple Grove, MN, Brent Kubat (Amber), Ayden, Briley of Rogers, AR, Austin Long of La Crosse, WI and Dr. Brooke Kubat of Richmond, VA.; her son Kevin (Tracey); her grandchildren, Denise Herman (Jon Fountain), Lillian, Allison Fountain of Cheyenne, WY and Tyler Hoy of Gillette, WY.; her daughter Penny Herman-Polayes (Larry Polayes); her grandchildren, David Polayes, Joseph of Albany, OR, Samantha Polayes (Anthony Zucca) and Hannah Polayes of Morgan Hill, CA.; her daughter Kathy (Woody); her grandchildren, Brittany Tait (Matt), Jacoby, Makinsey and Chesney Tait of Cashmere, WA.; her son Kipp; her sister Selma Zaback of Renton, WA.; her siblings-in-law, Roger Herman (Dorothy) of Great Falls, MT and Angela Herman (Deplazes) of Rugby, ND.; and her cousins, Avis Semrau (Nelson) of Grand Forks, ND and Doris Nelson (Chloe) of Towner, ND..
