He is survived by: his sons, Gerald Kurtyka (Gloria) of Rugby and James Kurtyka of Minot; his grandchildren, Stacey Atkinson of Rugby, Bryan Kurtyka (Tami), Jayson Kurtyka of Fargo, Tammy Lopez (Jorge), Thomas Olafson and Dianne Olafson of California; his sisters, Florence Joseph of Mays Landing and Eleanor Spicer of Mays Landing; and his close friend Harriet Krenz. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter.
