He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlen Merbach and Shirley Merbach (Sandow); his wife Carol Kreis; and his pets, Ace, Deuce and Isabella.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jayne Hovland (Rich) of Bismarck and Tammy Mickelson (Dave) of Bismarck; his nephew Daniel Mickelson; and his nieces, Taylor Hovland and Nicolle Mickelson. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
