He is survived by: his daughter Desiray Young (Jeff); his grandchildren, Matt, Morgan and Ryan Young; his daughter Stephanie Helms; his grandchild Kyler Syverson; his son Christopher Syverson; his grandchildren, Chloie and Aiden Syverson; and his brothers, Terry Syverson (Lilo), Earl Syverson (Susan) and Robert Syverson (Joni). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
