He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Rust and Ernest Rust; and his siblings, Jeannette Rust, Virginia Rust, Delores Sholberg, Franklin Rust and Avis Christenson.
He is survived by: his sister Ardis Nathan of Brainerd, MN; and his sister-in-law Darlene Rust of Minot, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
