With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary A. Haakenson of Tioga, North Dakota, who passed away on July 22, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Haakenson and Glorys Haakenson; his daughter Heidi Lynne Haakenson; his grandson Ethan Alex Haakenson; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Alvina Halgrimson.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Haakenson (Halgrimson) of Tioga, ND; his daughter Heather Hauf (Darren); his grandchildren, Ean, Brayden and Carson of Benedict, ND; his son Rick Haakenson (Annette Lovdahl); his grandchildren, Hannah, Katie, Alex and Ryan of McGregor, ND; his daughters, Amber Haakenson of Tioga, ND and Trista Vandermark; his grandchildren, Kadin and Rosalie of Tioga, ND; his brother Kirk Haakenson; and his aunt Lorella Haakenson of Washington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
