He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Joyce and Ruth Joyce (Sullivan) of Tioga; his wife Mary Ann; his sons, Daniel Jr. and Thomas; his parents-in-law, Frank and Cecelia Balster; his siblings, John Joyce, W. Thomas Joyce, Patricia Koller and Mary Ellen Kirn; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Joyce, John Balster (Sheryl) and Jim Balster (Kristi).
He is survived by: his children, Jane Peterson (Wayne) of Grand Forks, ND, Kathryn Sorensen (Bob Fiske) of Plymouth, MN, Jeffrey of Jamestown, ND and Jerome (Kristie) of Tioga, ND; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Ava and Zakkary; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Ruppert (Valerie) and Denver Ruppert (Ting Ting); his brother Michael Joyce of Fargo, ND; and his sisters-in-law, Edith Ann Joyce of Tioga, ND and Kristi Balster of Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel (104 Main St S, Tioga, ND 58852). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (213 Gilbertson St N, Tioga, ND 58852).
