He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Lemar and Josephine Lemar (Buckmeier); and his siblings, James Lemar, Harold Lemar and Genevieve Schell.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Hanson; his children, Sonya Lemar, Kristi Hillerud, Chad Troitte (Miriam), Tammy Burger (Michael) and East; his grandchildren, Dalton Patterson, Erin Love (Nolan), Tanner Hillerud (Sydney), Haley Burger, Emma Hillerud, Grant Burger, Kobe Lemar, Koren Lemar and Anna Troitte; his great grandchild Lukah Love; and his siblings, Ralph Lemar (Donna), Josie Bowersox (Vance) and Virgil Lemar (Evelyn Paulson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dementia Society of America.
